This is a 5.6" wide, Speetoniceras versicolor ammonite fossil from the Lower Cretaceous deposits of the Volga River in Russia. It has been beautifully prepared and mounted on a display base created from polished agate and argyllite. This makes for an extremely aesthetic display piece.
