4.95" Agatized Douvilleiceras Ammonite

This is a large, agatized specimen of the Douvilleiceras mammilatum, an Upper Cretaceous ammonite from Madagascar. This ammonite is covered in ridges on which spiny knobs would have been attached, acting as defensive structures while it was alive. The ammonite has been polished revealing the beautiful, suture pattern. It comes with an acrylic display stand.
