Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) - Morocco #140797

This is a 4.4" wide, fossil brittle star (Ophiura) from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. It is Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There is some restoration to the arms of this specimen.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
