Perchoerus is an extinct genus of suine found in Eocene and Oligocene-aged deposits of North America. Three species are known, which include Perchoerus minor, Perchoerus nanus, and Perchoerus probus, of which Perchoerus minor was the smallest, about the size of a house cat. While often considered a peccary, other studies have reclassified it as a basal suine outside of either peccaries or Suidae.
