.31" Fossil True Weevil (Curculionidae) - Bois d’Asson, France
This is a fossil true weevil (order Coleoptera, family Curculionidae), collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The weevil measures .31" wide and is beautifully detailed. Both halves of the split are present on this specimen, with one half glued to the largest slab of shale.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
