3" Crotalocephalina Trilobite - Interesting Color

This is a bargain example of the Devonian trilobite Crotalocephalina gibbus. This specimen is arched and would be about 3" long if fully outstretched. It has been prepared from the hard limestone matrix so that it looks like it is crawling off of the rock, a task that takes many hours of skilled work. This specimen has a very interesting reddish shell coloration. No restoration.
