This is a well preserved 3.5" fossil legume (Mimosites) pod from the Green River Formation, Uintah County, Utah. There is a second unidentified fossil in the specimen.
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
