3" Fossil Fern Leaf (Lygodium) - Green River, Utah

This is a plate of a 3.0" fossil climbing fern (Lygodium) from the Green River Formation, Utah. It shows incredibly detailed preservation. Lygodium is a genus of climbing fern, unique in that each frond forms a long vine. In addition to the fern leaf is an unidentified partial leaf.

While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
