2.9" Giant Fossil Snail (Pleurotomaria) - Madagascar

This is a giant, polished gastropod (sea snail) fossil of the genus Pleurotomaria collected near Sakkara, Madagascar. They are Jurassic in age, This specimen is quite large for the species.
