2.8" Rhaeboceras Ammonite With Calcite Crystals - Montana
This is a very cool ammonite (Rhaeboceras halli) fossil from the Bearpaw Shale of Montana. It's 2.8" with a wonderful iridescent shell and some exposed pockets of orange calcite crystals in a few of the chambers. It's Late Cretaceous in age, Upper Campanian Stage.
