2.5" Eocene Fossil Bladdernut Leaf (Staphylea) - Nevada
This is a fossil bladdernut leaf (Staphylea acuminata), collected from the Eocene-aged Florissant Formation of Florissant, Colorado. The reddish color of the leaf contrasts nicely with the beige of the rock. There is a repaired crack running through the portion of the leaf near the stem.
