2.4" Struthiomimus Phalange (Toe Bone) - Montana
This is a nicely preserved 2.4" long theropod (Struthiomimus) phalange (toe bone) from the Hell Creek Formation, Montana. It is in excellent shape. There are two areas of restoration, one at each end where there had been some erosion.. This is likely from the left foot.
Struthiomimus was long-legged, bipedal, ostrich-like dinosaurs with toothless beaks. It was estimated that they could reach a size of approximately 13 feet in length. It's thought that due to their abundance they must have been herbivores or omnivores.
