2.4" Pyritized Kosmoceras Ammonite Fossil

This is a stunning pyritized Kosmoceras ammonite from the Ryazan region of Russia. These pyrite replaced fossils have been polished to reveal the inner chambers which are full of druzy pyrite crystals. The spectacular ammonites are Upper Jurassic in age, approximately 160 million years old. Photos don't do this specimen justice.
