2.4" Miocene Fossil Oak Leaf (Quercus) - Nevada
This is a fossil oak leaf (Quercus sp.), collected from the Miocene-aged Savage Canyon Formation of Stewart Valley, Nevada. While there is little color variation between the rock and fossil, the venation preservation is detailed enough that the fossil is hard to miss. There is a second leaf near the oak that did not preserve nearly as well as the oak.
It comes with an acrylic display stand.
