2.35 Inch Thysanopeltis Trilobite

This is a fine example of the Middle Devonian trilobite Thysanopeltis speciosa from Mount Issoumour, Morocco. What is so distinctive about this trilobite is the fringe of pygidial (tail) spines. It's nicely outstretched and displays beautifully on the matrix.

There is only some minor restoration on this specimen including a couple of patches of damaged shell on the tail and touchups of surface airscribe dings from preparation (about 5% of shell)
