2.3" Iridescent Deshayesites Ammonite Fossil - Volga River, Russia
This is a beautiful, 2.3" wide Deshayesites sp. ammonite from the Lower Cretaceous deposits of the Volga River in Russia. It has been beautifully prepared from the hard concretion from which it was found. The ammonites have a wonderful iridescent shell preservation. The base of the rock has been cut flat so that is displays aesthetically without the need for a display stand.
