2.28" Rooted Dyrosaurus Tooth - Morocco

This is a very nice, fully rooted tooth of the Eocene aged crocodyliform, Dyrosaurus phosphaticus. It is 2.28" inches in length with wonderful preservation and was collected in the phosphate mines in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. Teeth in this nice of condition are fairly rare.

Dyrosaurus was a large marine animal, reaching up to 6 meters in length. It's slender jaws with sharp, recurved teeth hint at a primary diet of fish.
