2.2" Long Dicranurus Monstrosus Trilobite

This is bizarre trilobite looks like something you might see in an Alien's movie. It's fittingly name Dicranurus monstrosus. While fakes of this trilobite abound, real examples like this one are rare. The quality of work would have easily required 25 hours of preparation time to complete.

The head of the trilobite has been remounted. It was originally slightly disarticulated and pushed under the body. It was moved back into a life-like position. Other than that this specimen doesn't have any significant restoration.
