2.1" Iridescent Deshayesites Ammonite In Argyllite
This is a very nice, 2.1" wide Deshayesites imitator ammonite fossil mounted in a polished Argyllite base. The ammonite has beautiful iridescent shell preservation and is about as nice as they come. It was quarried from the Volga River region of Russia and is Lower Cretaceous, Aptian Stage, or approximately 120 million years old. The photos don't do this gorgeous ammonite justice.
