2.1" Bug-Eyed Coltraneia Trilobite - Beautiful Shell
This is a gorgoues Coltraneia trilobite with amazing "tower eyes" full of hundreds of eye facets. The species has often been referred to as a Treveropyge in the past. Most of the specimens that you see have a dark colored shell and are quarried at Ofaten but this one has a light brown shell and was collected near Issoumour, Morocco.
At just over 2 inches this specimen is about average size for the species and has excellent shell preservation and preparation. Stunning eye facets. No restoration on this fine specimen.
