2.05" Jurassic Coral Colony (Thecosmilia) Fossil - Germany
This is a fossil coral (Thecosmilia trichotoma) specimen that is Late Jurassic in age (~150 million years old) and was collected from the Nattheim Formation in Germany. Thecosmilia is an extinct genus of stony corals that lived from the Jurassic to the Cretaceous. The remaining rock that was left with this specimen contains a variety of marine fossils and fragments.
