16" Wide Selenopeltis Trilobite & Brittle Star Mortality Plate
This is a spectacular, Ordovician aged plate of fossils from the Kataoua Formation in Morocco. There are a dozen Ophiura brittle stars and a very well preserved, 4.2" long Selenopeltis trilobite.
It's very difficult to find natural associations like this and most of the plates I've seen are either composites or very heavily restored. This one is not a composite and has very minimal restoration, about 3-4% restoration on the Selenopeltis, along the right side of the axis.
A really amazing display piece.
