15" Theropod Tibia (Juvenile Tyrannosaurid?)
This is a nicely preserved 15.1" long tibia from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group) of Montana. It's theropod and appears to be Tyrannosaurid but the size would would indicate an individual somewhere around 9-10 feet long, a juvenile. Isolated bones, particularly those of theropods can be notoriously hard to place a definitive ID on.
The preservation is really nice and we prepared the specimen in house. There is one crack repair in the middle of the bone with some gap fill work, as well as a small gap fill on the head.
