14.3" Petrified Wood (Araucaria) Slab With Bark - Arizona

This is an interesting, 14.3x11.5" slab of more unusual petrified wood from Arizona. Most of the petrified wood that comes out of Arizona is Araucarioxylon but this is Araucaria. It was collected in Navajo County, Arizona and is nicely polished on one side. The outer several inches with unique patterns is where the bark of the tree fossilized.

There are a number of areas where cracks in the slab have been stabilized but it was never broken all the way through. It comes with a display stand.
