13.7" Cruziana (Fossil Trilobite Trackway) Plate - Oklahoma

Cruziana are the fossilized trackways of arthropods, in this case, a trilobite. The widest part of the trilobites shell leaves the parallel outer furrows and the leg movements create the diagonal marks in the center of the track. This Cruziana is preserved on thin slab of mudstone, and was collected from the Desmoinesian Formation in Oklahoma and would be Pennsylvanian in age, or approximately 305 million years old.

There is one long track visible across on the mudstone measuring just over 12 1/2" long.

It comes with an acrylic/metal display stand.
