12.7" Fossil Mud Lobster (Thalassina) - Indonesia

This is a beautiful fossil mud lobster belonging to the genus Thalassina, collected from Indonesia. The preservation is very nice, down to the highly visible serrations on the claws. The Thalassina lobsters are also known as "mud lobsters" due to their habit of burrowing up to 2m (6.5 ft) down into the mud.
