1.95" Rare, Spiny Ceratonurus Trilobite - Oklahoma
This is a large example of one of the most sought after and rare trilobites to come out of the Haragan Formation of Oklahoma. These delicately-spined Odontopleurids are considerably more rare the even the Dicranurus from this formation.
This specimen is very large at nearly 2" long, and a nice specimen of this size may only come around every few years. It has elegantly flowing spines with the "horns" prepared free standing. Its light caramel colored shell contrasts well with the limestone matrix that it is centered on. Part of the right cheek of the trilobite had been folded under the trilobite, so it has been restored.
