1.9" Impressive Metacanthina Trilobite - Lghaft, Morocco
This is a superb, 1.9" long specimen of Metacanthina issoumourensis often referred to as an "Asteropyge" or “Kayserops”. It was quarried near Lghaft, Morocco and the preparation is top notch. All of the plueral spines have been undercut to bring it out in high relief against the limestone.
It has 3-4% shell restoration along a repaired crack running through its thorax.
