1.9" Cretaceous Fossil Sponge (Cytoracea) - Germany

This is a late Cretaceous (Campanian) age fossil sponge of the species Cytoracea turbinata that was collected from Misburg, Germany. There are multiple species of fossil sponge that are found in this area, including S. mantelli and S. verrucosum.
