1.85" Red Thysanopeltis - Hmar Laghdad, Morocco
This is a rare, red Thysanopeltis trilobite from Hmar Laghdad, Morocco. The red coloration is due to high levels of iron in the silicified exoskeleton. This site was collected out a couple of years ago, so any of these red trilobites coming on the market is from old, unprepared material.
