1.8" Interesting, Red Austerops Trilobite - Zireg, Morocco

This is a 1.8" long, red Austerops trilobite from Zireg, Morocco. The red coloration is due to high levels of iron in the silicified exoskeleton. Zireg seams to be a new location where they are finding this reddish trilobites. Previously they were all coming from Hmar Laghdad, but the Zireg ones seam to be closer to purple in color.
