1.8" Fossil Leaf (Styrax)- Green River Formation, Utah
This is a 1.8" long partial fossil leaf (Styrax) from the Eocene aged Green River Formation of Utah. Styrax is a genus of subtropical shrub similar in appearance to laurel shrubs but not closely related.
While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse flora.
