1.8" Cretaceous Fossil Fish Vertebrae In Rock - Morocco
This is a 1.8" long string of vertebrae from phosphate deposits, Khouribga, Morocco. This specimen contains three associated vertebrae still contained in the rock in which they were found. A variety of other marine bone fragments are peppered throughout the sandstone.
There are a number of fish from the cretaceous seas in what is now Morocco. It is almost impossible to make an accurate identification from vertebrae.
