1.6" Polished, Pyritized Ammonite Fossil Segments - Russia

This is a nice pyritized ammonite segment cluster from the Ulyanovsk region of Russia. These pyrite replaced fossils segments have been cut and polished to reveal the inner chambers and walls which are full of druzy pyrite crystals. The ammonites are Upper Jurassic in age, approximately 160 million years old.
