1.7" Platecarpus (Mosasaur) Tooth - Unusual Species
This is a tooth of one of the rarer species of Mosasaurs found in the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. Based on the striations I'm about 90% sure it's from the genus Platecarpus. Only a few of the hundreds of the Mosasaur teeth I've purchased have been of this type.
