1.64" Partial Tyrannosaurid Tooth - Montana

This is a partial Tyrannosaurid tooth from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group) of Montana. It's got good enamel and many of the fine, outer serrations are still visible.

There are three described Tyrannosaurids from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group), Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Their teeth of notoriously hard to tell apart with very minor differences. Since these tooth is missing many of the defining characteristics there is no way to assign it with any accuracy to a specific one of these Tyrannosaurs.
