1.62" Partial Tyrannosaurid Tooth - Montana

This is a partial Tyrannosaurid tooth from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group) of Montana. It's missing the base and a section out of one side but it has good enamel and a fair number of the serrations are still visible.

There are three described Tyrannosaurids from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group), Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Their teeth of notoriously hard to tell apart with very minor differences. Since these tooth is missing many of the defining characteristics there is no way to assign it with any accuracy to a specific one of these Tyrannosaurs.
