1.5" Cretaceous Fossil Phalanx In Rock - Morocco
This is a 1.5" long fossil phalanx from phosphate deposits, Khouribga, Morocco. This phalanx is similar in size and shape to a Mosasaur phalanx, however it's difficult to accurately identify on its own.
It comes from the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. These deposits are mined for phosphate, one of Moroccos biggest exports. The fossils are collected as a byproduct of the mining operations, saving them from certain destruction by the rock crusher.
Comes with an acrylic stand.
