1.47" Partial Tyrannosaurid Tooth - Montana
This is a partial Tyrannosaurid tooth from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group) of Montana. It's the last 1 1/2" of the tip but it's very worn missing all of it's enamel.
There are three described Tyrannosaurids from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group), Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Their teeth of notoriously hard to tell apart with very minor differences. Since these tooth is missing many of the defining characteristics there is no way to assign it to a specific one of these Tyrannosaurs.
