1.38" Partial Tyrannosaurid Tooth - Montana
This is a partial of a good sized Tyrannosaurid tooth from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group) of Montana. Most of the enamel is gone but many of the fine serrations are still visible.
There are three described Tyrannosaurids from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group), Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus. Their teeth of notoriously hard to tell apart with very minor differences. The size would seem to make Albertosaurus unlikely.
