1.7" Polished Blue Tiger's Eye Pocket Stone
These are 1.7" polished, blue tiger's eye pocket stones. The tiger's eye has been mined from the Northern Cape Province of South Africa. Being that these are natural stones, there will be some variation in pattern and color from specimen to specimen.
Blue tiger's eye is a variation of tiger's eye in which the internal fibers have iron staining, causing a blue coloration to the stone.
Tiger's eye is actually a variety of quartz made chatoyant by subparallel intergrowth with altered amphibole fibres turned into limonite. It is primarily used for ornamental and lapidary purposes. Primary sources of tiger's eye are South Africa, Australia, and China.

The stone is polished into an oval shape and rounded on all sides. Polished stones of this size and shape are generally referred to as pocket stones since they will easily fit into a pocket. The pictures are representative of the stone you will receive, but there will be some variation in colors and patterning.
