PERUVIAN PYRITE SPHERES

The zinc-lead mines and in particular the Huanzala Mine in west-central Peru are world famous for producing impressive pyrite specimens. These pyrites come in a wide variety of crystal shapes and can be quite large, and are often associated with other minerals such as galena, sphalerite, and quartz.
