INDIGO GABBRO (MERLINITE) SPHERES

Indigo gabbro, also known as "Merlinite", is a basaltic mineral conglomerate primarily quarried in Madagascar. Th stone is named for its coloration, typically mottled between deep indigo-purple and black. The word "gabbro" refers to a large group of dark, coarse-grained, intrusive igneous rocks that are chemically equivalent to basalt, from which many of its component mineral originate. The rocks can contain a mixture of feldspar, chlorite, serpentine, muscovite, pyroxene, hercynite, and magnetite within in a charcoal-colored matrix.
