CYANOTRICHITE SPECIMENS
Cyanotrichite is a strikingly beautiful, rare copper mineral known for its vibrant sky-blue to azure color and delicate, fibrous crystals that often form soft, velvety clusters. Its name, derived from Greek roots meaning "blue" and "hair," aptly describes the mineral’s unique, hair-like crystal structure. The fine, fibrous crystals of cyanotrichite often cover rock surfaces in a radiating or tufty manner, creating vibrant patches of blue that stand out sharply against a contrasting matrix. Its soft and delicate structure, however, makes it quite fragile, and specimens require careful handling. Cyanotrichite often occurs alongside other secondary copper minerals, such as malachite, azurite, and brochantite, enhancing its visual appeal and creating stunning natural combinations.
