CERUSSITE CRYSTALS SPECIMENS

Cerussite is a lead-carbonate mineral that can form a variety of different crystal structures, sometimes in fibrous patterns, other times in granular aggregations, though generally forming pseudo-hexagonal crystals. It is a common weathering product of galena, explaining why it is typically extracted from oxidized zones of lead ore deposits. Its colors vary depending on composition and structure, though colorless, white, grey, and green-tinted crystals are the most common colors found. It is easily identifiable due to its heavy weight and gorgeous luster.
