ANGRITE ACHONDRITE METEORITES FOR SALE
Angrites are a very rare type of igneous, achondrite meteorite which are believed to be among the oldest solid objects in the solar system, with ages dating back around 4.56 billion years. There are less than 50 classified angrite meteorites, totally less than 100 lbs of known material. They are named after the first one discovered, the Angra dos Reis meteorite, which was found in Brazil in 1869. Angrites are made primarily of minerals like augite, olivine, and anorthite, and they often have a high concentration of calcium and aluminum.
The exact parent body of Angrites is still up for debate, but it is thought to be a small planetary body that differentiated (separated into a core, mantle, and crust). Based on reflectance spectra analysis, some scientists hypothesize that angrites could have originated from the asteroid 289 Nenetta, or 3819 Robinson. It has also been proposed that they could be from a long since destroyed parent body or even ejecta from the planet Mercury.
