PIPEFISH FOR SALE

Pipefish are extant straight-bodied relatives of seahorses. They have long, tube-like snout that end in small, narrow, and toothless mouths. Their bodies are long and snake-like, with dorsal fins that in some species is the only organ present for mobility. Because of this, many are weak swimmers in open water, moving primarily by rapidly waving the dorsal fin and, in most cases, using whatever form of caudal fin is present on the species. They generally inhabit sheltered areas in coral reefs or seagrass beds.
