KANSAS FISH FOSSILS FOR SALE
During the Late Cretaceous some 80 million years ago, much of what is now the central United States was covered by the Western Interior Seaway. This body of water was home to a diverse fauna of large fish, including the monsters Xiphactinus, Ichthyodectes and Enchodus. Fossils of these fish are commonly found in the Niobrara Chalk Formation in Northwest Kansas.
