2.2" Plate with Fossil Samaras (Winged Seeds) - Green River Formation
These are two beautifully preserved fossil winged seed pods of Cedrelospermum sp., collected from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain a very diverse insect fauna.
