1.3" Permian Reptile Humerus In Rock - Oklahoma
This is a 1.3" long of a Lower Permian reptile (unidentified) humerus from the Richard's Spur Quarry near Lawton, Oklahoma. This permian reptile material is found within cave fissure fill deposits in the quarry.

Captorhinus is an extinct genus of captorhinid reptiles that lived during the Permian period, and was one of the earliest and most primitive reptiles. Its remains are known from North America, Europe, India and Africa. It was fairly small--around 12 inches in length--and likely bore a resemblance to modern lizards.
